Coaches Rules and Policies for Gymnasts:


C      Respect yourself as an athlete.  Make sure you are getting the proper rest and nutrition while training.

C      Treat your teammates with respect at all times.

C      Sneakers must be worn when training in the weight room.

C      All gymnasts are expected to keep their cubby area clean at all times.

C      Arrive at the gym early for practice and be prepared to begin on time.  This means that hair should be up, ankles taped if necessary, no jewelry,  gum, etc.

C      Call the gym to notify the coaches if you will be missing practice (781) 493-6345.

C      At competitions you are representing NESA.  All gymnasts are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and proper “meet etiquette” at all times.

Ø     No sulking or pouting

Ø     Congratulate teammates and/or other competitors on the awards stand.

Ø     Do not leave the awards ceremony until all age groups are finished.

Ø     Do not leave the competition area to go up into the stands until after the competition is completed.

The following INFRACTIONS may JEOPARDIZE your status as a team member:

D      Any disrespectful act towards a coach or staff member

D      Physical and/or verbal abusive actions towards other teammates

D      Use of alcohol, drugs, or cigarettes
